Lely Resort - Naples, FL
Lely Resort is a premiere master-planned golfing community in Naples, FL. It was named after Cornelius van der Lely, a Dutch inventor. He bought around 25,000 acres of undeveloped land in 1972 to develop a community with more than 10,500 homes. There are currently more than 4,000 homes in Lely Resort and upon completion the community is expected to contain approximately 4,506 residences. There are over 40 individual neighborhoods in this community that consist of anywhere between a few dozen to over 100 homes each. Stock Development purchased Lely Resort in 2001 and has since introduced an exciting lineup of housing options spread throughout several neighborhoods. Homebuyers can select new construction homes from various builders or opt for one of the many resale homes on the real estate market.

The Bistro offers fine dining and the Ole Pub has a hearth style pizza and Friday night happy hours. A membership is required to play at The Classics golf course. The Flamingo course offers plenty of water challenges and sculpted fairways, lots of bunkering and tricky putting surfaces. It is visually very pleasing, the lakes and preserve areas make the most of Florida's natural beauty. The third course, The Mustang course is 7,217 yards and offers wider fairways. Twelve lakes offer beautiful settings. Golf Digest rated it 4.5 stars (out of 5) and rated the Flamingo course 4 stars. The Flamingo clubhouse is the starting point for both courses, offering a restaurant and lounge, pro shop and locker rooms. There is a practice range and short game and putting areas. There is a wide variety of residential choices available in Lely Resort. Condominium resale units start in the high $100s and go all the way up to the low $700s. Choices range from 2 bedroom, 2 baths condos with around 1,000 Sq. Ft to condo residences with almost 3,000 Sq. Ft living area.
New construction properties are still available in Cordoba, Lakoya, Tasori and at the Signature Club, the two last condo neighborhoods.
Lakoya is the last area to offer new construction single family homes, ranging from about 1,700 Sq.Ft to custom estate homes with over 4,000 Sq.Ft living area.
There are attached villas in several neighborhoods, the newest ones offer living areas of 1,700 to 2,200 Sq.Ft in the Moorgate Pointe subdivision and in Lakoya's Opal neighborhoood.
